JUNIOR SCHOOL

YEARS ONE TO FIVE

The focus is on building a child's skills of literacy and numeracy. Reading, Spelling, Writing and Mathematics are taught thoroughly in all junior years. Other subjects Junior School students study include Science, Society & Environment, Health and Biblical Studies. Specialist teachers take the subjects of Computing, Gymnastics, Physical Education, Library, Music and Indonesian.

Children are encouraged to learn at their own pace with guided
learning strategies provided by the classroom teacher. Education support is provided for students with learning difficulties and to extend talented students. Swimming lessons, special excursions and special events are also a feature of the Junior School.

In Year 5 the curriculum provides a firm foundation for the transition into Middle School.
